The school was formed on the basis of the pop departments of two educational institutions - the State Musical College named after the Gnessins and the Musical College named after the October Revolution. Now GMUEDI is the only specialized educational institution in Russia in the field of pop and jazz art. The school accepts citizens who have musical abilities, who have a general education of at least 9 grades high school and successfully passed the entrance exams.

Acceptance of documents

Applicants to the State Musical College of Variety and Jazz Art submit the following documents to the admission committee:

Applicants in the order of transfer from an institution of secondary vocational education of the corresponding profile to senior courses submit a certificate from the place of study, 6 3x4 photos, a certified copy of the certificate and a document proving identity and citizenship.
